Wow...I am so glad that today was finally our appointment. I could hardly sleep last night because I was so excited to get into the office and find out what was going on. First of all before I share everything that we learned today, I want to thank everyone for their support and the love that all of you have expressed to us. Not one person has questioned our decision to do IVF, in fact, everyone has been happy and even shed a few tears with us. Now to the exciting part. We met with the doctor at 11:30 today and she said that everything is a go for the IVF. We were so excited to hear those precious words. Our next step is our orientation on August 30 and this is where they give us the shot training and we sign all of our consent forms. We have to have a few more tests run before the orientation. After the orientation we then wait for my Sept. cycle and then we start. The whole process takes about a month and a half after that. So we are looking at the end of Oct. beginning of Nov. to get the pregnancy test results. I know that seems far away, but I think that it will go really fast. I think that this news and getting everything set up is finally bringing some excitement to us. We don't feel quite as overwhelmed as before.
I found a website on another woman's blog that explains all of the steps to IVF. I thought that I would share this for anyone who might want to look it up and learn more about what we are going to be doing. It is http://www.rscbayarea.com/articles/ivfvsgif.html.
That is all for now. We will post when we know more. Thank you so much for all of your love and support. Every one's well wishes has made this process a little easier.

"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." Michael Jordon
I thought I would use a quote Jared could relate to since he is a big basketball fan!
Glad today's experience was a happy one! Remember, if you need me to come over and give you your shots (give Jared a break) I am only a few minutes away!
I can already feel St. Jude working his magic! Love, Kathy
Nicki and Jared,
Wow,do I ever feel so shelterd with the internet. This is so neat what you can do in order to let everyone know what is going on through your IVF Journey. First of all Nicole you are an incredible person with so much courage and strength. Jared you are a great supporter and husband to Nicole through all of this. I know that when the time comes for you to welcome your new little one you guys are going to be great parents. You both have been faced with obstacles where you could of given up and you haven't. This quality in both of you is going to make you stronger and closer. We will all be there for you and Nicole if you need at any time someone to talk to don't hestitate to call. We love you guys and don't give up. Sometimes in our lives we are faced with barriers that try to stop us or make it hard to overcome but remember with love and support of each other and family anything is possible.
This is your DREAM, that is going to become your REALITY.

Nicki -
I was hoping you would post about your appointment. Can you finally see it? The light at the end of the IVF tunnel? It's still faint, but brightening every day! You know I am here and have plenty of IVF experience, so call me if you need anything. And remember, dreams do come true, just look at Brianna and Brandon!
Love you -
Traci
Mr. and Mrs Studly,
We can’t pretend to know what you two are going through nor the tremendous amount of strength and courage that it takes to go through this. I’m pretty sure it feels like the weight of the world is riding on your shoulders (or like those "Noles" beating OSU in a bowl game).
But seriously we just want to let you guys know you are always in our thoughts and we will always be there for you.
We wish you the best of luck and hope things are going well.
Love,
CMACC Reyn……
Nicki-
Glad to hear everything is a go for IVF. I cannot wait to hear about the process, to know what to expect in the near future. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Don't forget to check up on BC.
